General Advertiser Guidelines
Current EVents is the monthly print newsletter of the Electric Auto Association, a 42 year old non-profit organization of electric vehicle
enthusiasts, including do-it-yourselfers and industry professionals.
Current EVents has been continuously published since 1967. We cater
to this specific audience by presenting material with a strong technical
orientation in addition to articles on the role of electric vehicles
in attaining our national security, energy security and emissions
reduction goals.
Advertising in Current EVents reaches a savvy early-adopter
audience in a rapidly growing advanced technology “green” industry.
With monthly issues your ad will get strong exposure and the
message will endure as many of our readers save their copies for future
reference. In addition, Current EVents is archived on the EAA website,
ads intact.
Mechanical Specifications and Pricing:
AD DEADLINE: 15th of each month for artwork.
MECHANICAL SPECS: The trim size is 8-3/8” x 10-7/8” with
a live area of 7.5” x 9.5”. Bleed ads need to be 1/4” total larger
than the trim size. Current Events is saddle-stitched and printed
on recycled white paper.
AD RATES are for camera-ready art. We prefer ads submitted as
press-ready PDFs (greyscale). FONTS should be EMBEDDED.
InDesign files or Illustrator .EPS files will be accepted (fonts
should be outlined and images imbedded). Photos in the ads
should be high resolution (300 dpi) for best appearance.
GRAPHIC CHARGES: Ads requiring production services
subject to standard production charges (quotes available).
PAYMENT POLICY: New clients must supply payment with
ad. All payment for advertising must be received by the 25th of
the month preceding publication unless special arrangements
have been made. Advertising must be reserved with a credit card
and if payment is not received by the 25th of the month preceding
publication this credit card will be processed for the amount due.
CONDITIONS: The Electric Auto Association reserves the right
to reject advertising at any time and is not liable for any cost
or damages if for any reason they fail to run an ad. Advertiser
is responsible for proof reading the ad before submission. For
printed errors liability is limited to cost of the ad space. It is the
advertiser’s responsibility to submit ad changes for each issue.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that the Cancellation Fee of the agreement is $100 PLUS the differential of the insertion rate noted on the contract or rate sheet deducted from
the one time rate. Cancellation of this agreement must be made
